Pharmacy: How to join a Pharmacy Workspace and Manage Users

This article runs through how you can join your pharmacy on Accurx Web to collaborate with your pharmacy colleagues.

Accurx Web can help pharmacies easily text patients, message GPs and much more, all from your desktop or mobile.

Pharmacy workspaces are a way for users at a pharmacy to collaborate within one shared space πŸ₯

To get started, you'll need to join your pharmacy workspace via this signup flow here. Search for your pharmacy by ODS code, address and/or postcode πŸ‘‡, then select 'Join' to become a user of the pharmacy workspace.

  • ​If you are the first user at the pharmacy workspace, then you'll automatically join as an admin. This means you can manage other colleagues' access to the workspace.

  • If the pharmacy workspace already has members, then you will join the workspace as an unapproved user. This means you can send patient messages, but cannot view other conversations in the workspace until approved by an admin.

How to manage users at a pharmacy workspace

To invite, approve, archive and change the admin permissions of users in your workspace, you'll first need to access the user management page:

  1. Click on the name of your Organisation at the top right of your Accurx Web screen.

  2. Select the correct pharmacy workspace, Settings and then "Users".

In this section, all approved users can:

Invite more colleagues to join your pharmacy workspace.

Approved users can invite other users to join the workspace via the "Invite colleagues" button πŸ‘‡

View current approved members and admins in your pharmacy workspace.

Approved users can see other approved users by navigating to the "Approved members" tab.

You can also see who the workspace admins

Pharmacy Workspace Admin Actions

Within a pharmacy workspace, the workspace admin(s) can:

Approve new users in the pharmacy workspace

Pharmacy workspace admins can approve new users via the "Approval Requests" tab

Archive other users in the pharmacy workspace

If a pharmacy workspace is no longer applicable for a user (e.g. they no longer work in the pharmacy), the pharmacy workspace admin can archive the user by clicking the dropdown by:

  1. Click where it says "Actions".

  2. Click "Archive from workspace".

(Note: To archive admins, you will first need to make them a member first).

Give admin privileges to other users in the pharmacy workspace

Pharmacy workspace admins can make other users admins too by:

  1. Click the dropdown by "Actions".

  2. Click "Make user an admin".
