Accurx Scribe for UHL & UHN: Marking notes and letters as saved to record

Copy no longer marks your note or letter as saved to record. Here's how to mark each one yourself

ⓘ This article is for Accurx Scribe users at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) and University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN).

Clicking 'Copy' no longer marks your note or letter as saved to record. You now choose when to mark each one as saved.

🔄 What’s changed

‘Copy’ still works exactly as before, so your note or letter is copied to your clipboard ready to paste. The difference is that copying no longer tags it as saved to record.

  • Copy no longer marks an output as saved to record.

  • Marking as saved to record is now a deliberate step.

  • The status applies to each note or letter on its own, rather than to the whole encounter.

Why we’ve made this change

Previously, ‘Copy’ marked an output as saved to record even if it hadn’t been pasted anywhere yet, and an encounter with both a note and a letter couldn’t show that only one had been saved. Now the tag gives a true picture of what has actually made it into the patient record.

✅ How to mark a note or letter as saved to record

  1. Generate and review your note or letter as usual.

  2. If it’s part of your workflow, click ‘Copy’ and paste it into your trust’s record system.

  3. Click the arrow next to ‘Copy’, then select ‘Mark saved in record’.

To mark just the note or just the letter, use the status next to each item at the top of the consultation or toggle individual items to mark just the note or just the letter 👇

💡 Sending to a colleague? Using ‘Send to colleague’ will show the output as sent, but it won’t count as saved to record. Once it’s in the record, mark it as saved in the usual way.

⚠️ It is essential that the clinician reviews all of their Accurx Scribe outputs before they are added to the medical record or shared with patients and other services.
