You can now choose whether the patient's GP gets a copy of each letter when you click 'Save and send', rather than selecting Yes or No next to "CC GP" in your letter template.

🔄 What's changed
Letters are still sent to the patient's GP via MESH, just as before. What's changed is where you make the choice:
There's a new 'GP (via your trust system)' option when you click 'Save and send'.
The letter must be saved to record for it to go to the GP.
You can preview the PDF from the same window, and it will show "Copy to: GP" if you've selected the GP.
Clearer messages confirm when your letter has been sent, or let you know if something has gone wrong.
✉️ How to send a letter to the GP
Generate your letter and review it as usual.
Click 'Save and send' in the bottom right-hand corner.
Tick 'Save PDF letter to record (via your trust system)'.
Under 'Choose recipients', tick 'GP (via your trust system)'.
Click 'Confirm'.
You'll see a message confirming the letter has been sent to your trust system and will be saved to the record and forwarded to the GP.
💡 No extra steps. Once you've clicked 'Confirm', the letter is sent to the GP via MESH in the background, just as before.
⚠️ Letters must be saved to record to go to the GP
⚠️ If you tick 'GP' without ticking 'Save PDF letter to record', you'll see a red message asking you to save the letter to record. Just tick the box at the top to carry on.
🔍 Check your letter before you send it
Click 'Preview PDF' in the Save and send window to see exactly what will be sent:
If you've ticked 'GP', you'll see "Copy to: GP" at the bottom of the letter.
If you haven't, that line won't appear.
💡 Downloading the PDF. You can preview and download the PDF without saving it to record. If you've ticked GP, the "Copy to: GP" line will still show on the downloaded PDF.

No. Letters still go to the GP via MESH, so nothing changes after you click 'Confirm'. The only difference is that you now tick 'GP (via your trust system)' to send the letter.
