Welcome to Accurx Desktop! Here is a step-by-step guide on opening the Accurx Desktop toolbar to send your first message.
If youβve already created an Accurx account, you can use this across any practice that is using Accurx. All you need to do is log into Accurx Desktop with your current details π
If you don't already have an Accurx account, you can create one by clicking on 'Create your account' in the login window and completing a quick form with your details. This is outlined in the steps listed below π
Creating an Accurx account
1. Click on the Accurx Desktop icon to launch the Accurx toolbar
2. Click the orange person icon, then click 'Create your account'
3. This will open a web page where you must enter your details and set a password. Once you have done this, click 'Create an account' π
4. You will then be sent an email to verify your account. Go to your NHS email (which you used to sign up) and click the 'Verify your email' link.
Please check your junk/spam inbox if you're unable to find the verification email. If this hasnβt arrived within 10 minutes of creating your account, contact Accurx support by clicking on the message icon on the bottom right of this page.
Logging into Accurx Desktop π
After you've created an account, you can log into the Accurx Desktop toolbar π Enter your email address and the password of your Accurx account.
On the back of instructions from the NHS, we are improving our security on Accurx as we continue to add more functionality that deals with patient data, so we need to ensure those accessing Accurx are who they claim to be. Two-factor authentication gives your accounts an extra layer of security.
When logging in with your email address and password, you will be taken to Accurx Web to authenticate yourself by adding/confirming a phone number.
If the number is sent to a contact you don't recognise, you'll need to ask the support team to reset the details so you can change the number for 2FA.
Once fully logged in, you should see the Accurx toolbar with your initials π
Approving your Accurx Desktop account β
When a new user signs up to Accurx Desktop at a practice, their Accurx account is initially 'unapproved'. (You will still be able to send texts and do video consultations as an unapproved member)
To become approved, you'll need to ask one of your organisation's Accurx admins to approve you. To help them through this, click here for a guide on the steps to take. π
