Message GP practice is a feature of accuRx Web which allows you to send messages about a patient directly to their GP practice without having to look up any contact details.

accuRx Web is web-based, so you don’t need to install or download any software, and you can log-in using your nhs.net or nhs.uk credentials from any mobile, tablet or desktop device.

How does it work?

  • Message GP practice lets you send messages about a patient to a patient's GP practice easily from either your mobile or desktop.

  • We use the Personal Demographics Service to identify the patient's GP practice.

  • 98% of GP practices in the country use accuRx, so we can get a message directly to them.
NB: The Message GP practice feature will only be activated for you if ~98% of GP practices in the area have also activated it.

  • These messages will be sent to the accuRx inbox for the GP practice. They can be saved directly to the patient record in one-click, including attachments.

  • Everyone in the GP practice will receive a notification of a new message.

  • All responses come back to your NHS email address.
