As long as the accuRx Chain app is on the same machine as EMIS/S1, then you should be able to use Chain without a problem. 😀
I want to install on my laptop alongside EMIS/S1
Sure! You can just follow the regular steps to install: go to www.accurx.com, click "GP practice" - after that, you'll see the steps you need to follow to complete the download and install. 👇
If you've used Chain before and you're an EMIS practice, you can skip to step 4.
I'm using a VPN or other remoting software with EMIS/S1 on it
Try installing accuRx Chain alongside wherever you've got EMIS installed. Click the button above to install Chain 👆.
(a note on VPNs : for the best video consultation experience, we don't recommend using a VPN to join the video call)
I just want to video/SMS without connecting to a medical record
If you are unable to access EMIS/SystmOne from home and are needing to work remotely, you can login to fleming.accurx.com with your Chain account and use this instead 🙂
You can learn more about Fleming here!
What can I do once I'm set up?
We've built a lot of tools to help GP practices work remotely, particularly in the COVID-19 crisis:
- Have video calls with your patients rather than F2F appointments 📹
- ...send texts! Our regular SMS function will also help you easily get messages across to patients. 💬
- Send them sick notes or other documents 📎
