This article talks about Accurx Desktop, which is installed alongside EMIS/SystmOne/Vision. If you're using our standalone web portal, Accurx Web, see here instead!

Once you've got the toolbar installed and correctly connected to EMIS/SystmOne/Vision, you'll be able to message your patients!

To send a message πŸ‘‡

  1. Select a patient in EMIS/SystmOne/Vision

  2. Click the message icon in the Accurx Desktop toolbar

  3. You should see the patient's details have come through to Accurx Desktop! Choose what to put in your message - you can simply free text in the box near the bottom, or you can add a pre-written template, and also add links from NHS UK.

Message Greetings

At the moment, the greetings for patients will be created automatically and it will depend on their age. πŸ‘‡

  • For patients under 7 years old, the message will say Dear Parent/Guardian of (Patient's First Name) ...,

  • For patients age 7 to 30 years old, the message will start with Hi Patient's (First Name) ...

  • For patients over the age of 30, the message will start with Dear Patient's (Last Name)....

If we can't get a patient's age the system will fall back to the default greeting which is Hi Patient's (First Name) ...

Can you change the greetings that patients receive?

Sadly, no, it's not possible to change the greetings as they are fixed and can't be customised. The only option would be to manually adjust the greeting in each message you draft.

If you still have any questions or concerns, feel free to chat with us using the green message bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of this page. πŸ‘‰
