If accuRx Desktop shows a different patient to the one you have selected in EMIS, it is likely that accuRx Desktop is pulling through information from a patient previously selected in a crashed EMIS. This crashed EMIS process may still be running but not visibly on your screen. To resolve this:
- Go to your Task Manager (Control+Alt+Delete)
- Select Task Manager
- Click on 'Processes'
- Select any visible EMIS processes
- Right click and click 'End Process' or 'End Task'
If the problem still isn't solved when you reopen EMIS, we'd recommend completely restarting your computer. This should clear any crashed EMIS processes that aren't visible to your account.
