Accurx is used by healthcare professionals to send messages to patients.
These messages can be via SMS or email. If you have received an email from your healthcare worker, you will not be able to respond to it like a normal email.
If your healthcare team needs a response from you, there should be a website link, highlighted in blue, to use to send the response (see screenshot below) π
How to respond to the text
Please note that your response may not be reviewed immediately. Any urgent matter should be addressed by contacting your healthcare team. If you are seriously unwell, call 111 or 999.
If you click on your unique link in your text, a web page in your internet browser on your phone should open. It should look like this π
β
You will be asked to verify your identity by entering your date of birth.
Type in your date of birth and then select "Continue".
You should then see a page with the message from your healthcare provider and a text box. π
You can respond to your clinician by typing in the text box (the limit is 600 characters) and attaching a photo or document if your clinician has asked you to.
If you select the 'Attach photos and files' option, you will need to accept the terms by selecting 'Continue' to be able to attach a photo or file. π
Note: You cannot upload an attachment larger than 8MB. The file types supported are pdf, docx, doc, rtf, jpeg, jpg, png, tiff, tiff2, tif.
Once you have entered your response, click "Send" to send your response to your clinician.
Once this has been sent, you will no longer see the text box and you will see the response that has been sent.
β
If you are unable to see this link and need to send a response to your organisation, you will need to contact them using your usual methods e.g. phone call.
