A step-by-step guide to tracking what’s outstanding after a Scribe consultation at University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) and University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHN).
Consultation activity shows every document created from your Scribe consultations in one list, with the status of each one. You can see at a glance whether a letter has been saved to the record, sent to the GP, sent to the patient, or sent to a colleague, and what still needs action.
It covers consultations started from a clinic list and ad-hoc consultations (ones not started from a clinic list). Everyone in your workspace sees the same list.
Please note: Consultation activity is available on Accurx Web only for UHL and UHN users. It isn’t available on the Accurx app in this release.

How to use consultation activity on Accurx Web
1. Open consultation activity
In Accurx Web, click Lists at the top of the page, then select Consultation activity on the left. You’ll see all the documents created from Scribe consultations in your workspace, without needing to click into each clinic code.
Each row shows the document, the patient (name, age and sex), the patient ID (hospital number or NHS number), the clinic code, who created it, the date created and its status. The newest consultations are at the top.
💡 Tip: If you start a Scribe without selecting a patient first (i.e. an ad-hoc consultation), the document appears with some details missing. Once you link a patient to the consultation, their details fill in, and any statuses or tags it already has stay.
2. Filter the list
Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow down what you see:
Clinic code: search for and choose one or more clinic codes, or choose No code to see consultations started without an appointment
Status: filter by Created, In progress or Failed to see which documents might still need action. For example, filtering by In progress to see documents sent to the patient but not yet to a colleague
Date
3. Open a document’s details
Click the arrow at the end of a row to open Document details. Here you can see the document’s status, its activity tags, who it was sent to, and the patient and clinic details.
Click View patient conversation or View colleague conversation to open the messages that were sent. Use the up and down arrows at the bottom of the panel to move between documents.
What the statuses and activity tags mean
Statuses
Every document has one of three statuses, so you can see what still needs doing 👇
Status | What it means |
Created | The document has been created, and nothing has been done with it yet |
In progress | Save and send has been clicked and onward actions have started |
Failed | An onward action didn't go through, e.g. it failed to save to the record or send to the GP |
Activity tags
Activity tags show what’s happened to each document:
Saved to record
Sent to GP
Sent to patient
Sent to colleague
