Accurx Scribe: Consultation activity

A step-by-step guide to tracking what's outstanding after a Scribe consultation, on Accurx Web and the Accurx app

Written by Helen Merriott

Consultation activity shows every document created from your Scribe consultations in one list, with the status of each one. You can see at a glance whether a letter has been saved to the record, sent to the GP or sent to the patient, and what still needs action. Actions may vary depending on functionality available to your organisation.

It covers consultations started from a clinic list and ad-hoc consultations (ones not started from a clinic list). Everyone in your workspace sees the same list.

⚠️ Availability: Consultation activity is available to select NHS Trusts. If you can't see it and are expecting to, speak to your Accurx account manager.

How to use consultation activity on Accurx Web

1. Open consultation activity

In Accurx Web, click Lists at the top of the page, then select Consultation activity on the left. You'll see all the documents created from Scribe consultations in your workspace, without needing to click into each clinic code.

Each row shows the document, the patient (name, age and sex), the patient ID (hospital number or NHS number), the clinic code, who created it, the date created and its status. The newest consultations are at the top.

ⓘ Ad-hoc consultations: If you start a Scribe without selecting a patient first, the document will appear with some details missing. Once you link a patient to the consultation, their details will fill in, and any statuses or tags it already has will stay.

2. Filter the list

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow down what you see:

  • Clinic code: search for and choose one or more clinic codes, or choose No code to see consultations started without an appointment

  • Status: for example, show only Created or Failed documents to find what still needs action

  • Date

3. Open a document's details

Click the arrow at the end of a row to open Document details. Here you can see the document's status, its activity tags, who it was sent to, and the patient and clinic details.

Click View patient conversation or View colleague conversation to open the messages that were sent. Use the up and down arrows at the bottom of the panel to move between documents.

4. Mark a document as complete

When everything's been actioned for a document, click Mark complete in Document details. This is useful when work has been finished outside Accurx, so the list stays accurate.

How to use consultation activity on the Accurx app

You can also check consultation activity from your phone, on iPhone and Android. Anything you change on the app updates on Accurx Web too, and the other way round.

  1. Open the Accurx app and tap the Lists tab

  2. Tap Consultation activity - each document appears as a card

  3. Use the filters to narrow down by clinic code, status or date range

  4. Tap a card to see the document's details

  5. From the details, mark the document as complete, or move it back to In progress

  6. Tap View consultation to open the Scribe consultation itself
