Editing global contact info:
While some of your ICS's new directory has been curated for you, the new Accumail directory intends to follow a 'crowd-sourcing' type model that allows all users within each ICS to edit and add contacts in the directory to make sure they are all kept accurate, up to date and at their most useful!
If any of the contact's details are incorrect or could be improved, you can change this yourself for all users who can see the contact.
To do this:
open the details card of the contact in question
click the 'Edit' button in the bottom left
'Update contact details' to update the global contact information for the contact. π
From here you can then edit the Service or Organisation that describes this contact from a list of possible options.
(If there is a service or organisation missing from this list that should be included, please reach out to stuart@accurx.com to have this added to the list of options.)
You can then press 'Save changes' to save these changes to the contact, and update this information for all users in your network.
You can also select to 'Cancel changes' to exit this window without making any changes to the contact.
Editing practice contact info:
As well as editing the global contact information, you can also change how the contact appears in your directory just for your practice, to assist with cataloguing and searching for the contact for yourself and your colleagues if you feel there is a more appropriate name for the contact.
You can access these practice-visible settings by:
opening the contact's details card
pressing 'Edit'
selecting 'Update description for my practice'. π
This will give you access to change the contact's:
'Display name', which is the name the contact appears under in your contacts list
'Notes' section, which is only visible within the details card itself and can be used to record any extra information about this contact for yourself and your colleagues at your practice.
Changes to both of these pieces of information about the contact are only viewable by your practice, leaving you free to name the contact however yourself and your colleagues feel is best for you - no other practices or users will be affected by any changes you make to these.
We hope you find the new Accumail directory useful and easy to use!
