Patient Lists is an Accurx Web feature that allows you to add multiple patients to a list without having to type their NHS number and date of birth each time! As well as share a list with a colleague, send a message, and much more all at the click of a button!
You can set this up directly in Accurx Web, here's how:
1. Log in to https://web.accurx.com/login
2. Verify your identity if you haven’t done so already with 2-factor authentication. You should have set up 2FA using your mobile phone number or an alternative email address to your NHS address. If not, please set this up to access all the features here.
3. Patient lists at the top of your page
How do I create a new list?
1. To create a new list, click Create new list in the top right-hand corner.
2. You will need to name your new list.
3. Click Save and your list has been created!
4. To add patients to the list, click Start adding patients.
5. To add patients individually, input their NHS Number and Date of Birth.
How do I add multiple patients to my list?
Upload a spreadsheet (CSV file) containing patients from your patient administration system (PAS).
Your CSV file should contain two columns named:
Each file can contain up to 1000 patients.
It's also possible to include dates and times in the spreadsheet to create scheduled appointments for each patient. To find out more about how to do this, please click here.
How do I remove patients from my list?
To remove patients from your list, click on the three dots next to 'Contact' and then click 'Remove from list'.
How to delete a list?
Select the list you'd like to delete, click '...' in the top right-hand corner then 'Delete list'. Note you cannot delete shared lists.
How can I share my list?
Click on ‘View list’
Select share List
Add the email address of the person you want to share the list with
Click share
❓ I've received an error saying it can't add the patients.
If we cannot add your patient's, we will let you know along with the reason. It will look something like this.

If you've received...
Invalid Date of birth - this means the format in the CSV is not accepted. Please change to one of the following 24/06/1933 or 1933-06-24
Patient not found - this means we cannot match the date of birth and NHS number to a patient on PDS and therefore have not added them. Check that the details are correct.
Invalid NHS number (not shown above) - this means the NHS number does meet the expected format, it might have too many characters, etc. Please check your CSV.
X patients are already in the list - these patients are already in the list and we will not add them again
