We’re really excited to bring a version of Accurx to your pocket. The Accurx app is now available for GPs, giving you access to key features wherever you are.

What features are available in the Accurx app?

  • Accurx Scribe

  • Patient messaging

  • Inbox

Just a heads-up: the app doesn’t include every feature you’d normally see on Accurx Desktop or Accurx Web. To see a full list of what you can do in the app vs Accurx Desktop and/or Accurx Web, check out this support article.

Accurx Scribe

Accurx Scribe in the Accurx app turns your phone into a high-quality microphone, which can be used:

  • In your consultation rooms, if you don’t have access to a high-quality microphone.

  • On-the-go with patients, such as with home visits.

Once recorded on the phone, it is ready for your review on your computer, where you can make edits, save to record and generate documents from your transcription.

You can read more about how to use Accurx Scribe here.

Patient messaging

Your patient messaging experience in the Accurx app will work the same as it does on Accurx Desktop and Accurx Web. You can:

  • Find patients, templates and message on-the-go.

  • Review the sent messages on your desktop and web app before saving to the record there.

You can read more about how to message patients here.

Inbox

In the app, you will be able to see a live feed of your practice’s inbox wherever you are. You will be able to:

  • Read and review incoming messages and send responses.

  • Organise them into different folders, mark as urgent and mark as done.

You can read more about the Inbox and how it works here

Some dos and don'ts of using the Accurx app

Feature

Do

Don’t

Accurx Scribe

Improve the quality of your recordings in your practice with Accurx Scribe.

Use Accurx Scribe on the go when you need to.

Use Accurx Scribe in non-confidential situations. Review your Accurx Scribe consultation notes in public places.

Patient messaging

Send messages when you don't have access to your workstation, like when on a home visit.

Send messages in public places, where they can be read over your shoulder.

Try to save to the record, that needs to be completed when you return to your computer.

Inbox

Check in on demand while away from the office, your colleagues working from their computer can see if you’re viewing the same request on mobile, so you can collaborate as you would do in practice on the go.

A really good way to use the Inbox would be for if there are specific requests a colleague wants support on while you're out of office.

Review messages where patient info could be seen by others. Feel pressure to work out of hours – this is just for when it helps!
