What is accuRx Batch Messaging?
accuRx Batch Messaging allows you to send the same text message to a group of patients at once. This means you can save time typing out individual texts if you're sending the same message to lots of patients.
Some of the features of Batch Messaging:
Text up an unlimited number of patients at once
Get structured responses from patients with Florey questionnaires (learn more about Florey 👉 here)
Choose from a large collection of SNOMED codes which will be automatically added to each patient's record on sending the batch text message
Attach documents to your text messages such as patient leaflets
Some of the things practices have found Batch Messaging useful for:
Sending out general practice announcements (such as to let patients know they still need to wear a mask to come into the surgery)
Advertising walk-in clinics for COVID vaccines
Collecting QOF data for Asthma and COPD annual reviews
Inviting patients to book their Flu vaccine and allowing them to decline (via the Flu Florey)
Gather information on smoking status, alcohol consumption and BMI from groups of patients (via Florey)
Get ethnicity information and blood pressure readings from groups of patients (for practices with access to Florey plus)
How does Batch Messaging work?
Batch Messaging is very simple and easy to use. First, you will need to create a list of patients you'd like to send a batch message to from your clinical system. There are step-by-step guides on how to do this here for EMIS and here for SystmOne.
Once you have your list, you can upload it into the Batch Messaging system and review the list to check you are happy to text those patients.
You will then be able to choose to send an SMS or Florey, attach a document (if SMS) and write/edit the message.
Once you've written your message, you can review it to check you're happy to send it out and also attach an optional SNOMED code (if SMS). And that's it!
