This article assumes you already have access to accuBook, having been invited by a coordinating practice to be linked to a designated site for the vaccination programme. If you know who should be setting this up for you, please get in touch with them. If you need to get access to accuBook for your network, this article has more information on procurement.

What is accuBook?

accuBook is a simple product built to help you manage appointments for your organisation's part in the Covid-19 vaccination programme.

  • The designated coordinating practice sets up the site info, invites practices to participate, and then creates clinics to book patients into.
  • Each participating practice can then invite their own patients by logging into and using accuBook (see below!).
  • Patients can book themselves in with a link sent by SMS, or practices can manually book patients in.
  • Appointment confirmation & reminders are sent to patients via text.
  • Practices can easily view which patients have booked, have not yet booked, declined the vaccine, and those who need to be manually booked in.

NB: if you're a completely new accuRx user you'll need to chat to us first so we can get you set up on accuBook. Hit the chat bubble button below.

What does a participating practice do?

  • The designated coordinating practice will be in charge of setting up clinic times and dates.
  • The designated coordinating practice will invite your organisation as a participating practice.
  • Each participating practice can then invite their own patients.

👉 Here’s a handy video 👈

  • Log in to accuBook via your 'Manage Practice' page.
  • Select ‘Invite patients and manage bookings’ under 'COVID-19 vaccine'.
  • Here you can invite patients to book themselves into an appointment via SMS, book them in manually yourself, and then view, manage and cancel these bookings.

That's really all there is to it. Beneath this, the product is very powerful and can help you manage the complexities of the vaccination programme. You can find out more here in our support centre. We're also developing a set of top tips gathered from users about how to run their vaccination booking process using accuBook. We'll update with links here, but you can share tips or ask for help from other users on our Facebook group. If you're stuck, please come and chat to us by clicking the bubble below.
