Video: How to invite more people to a call

Sometimes you might want to bring extra people into a video consultation - another clinician, an interpreter, a supervising colleague, or another patient's carer, for example. The process is the same whether you're using Accurx Web or Accurx Desktop.

There's no dedicated "group call" feature, but once you've generated a video consultation link for one patient, you can copy and share that same link with anyone else you'd like to join.

Before you start

You'll need to have already sent a video consultation invite to your patient. If you haven't done this yet, see:

Sharing the link with someone else

  1. Once you've sent the video consultation invite, find the conversation in your Inbox

  2. Click Copy link next to the video consultation message.

  3. Share this link with whoever else needs to join - for example:

    • Paste it into an email from your NHS email account

    • Paste it into a new message to another patient if you're inviting them to the same call.

  4. Once the other person opens the link in a supported browser on their laptop, tablet, or phone, they'll join the call.

Note: If you're inviting another member of staff, they'll appear labelled as "patient" on their video image once they join - this is just how the call is labelled and won't affect the consultation.
