What is Self-Book?

Self-Book aims to save the healthcare team's time by reducing the manual steps involved in booking patients into appointments.

Using Self-Book, your organisation can choose which patients require a face-to-face or telephone appointment and send these patients a unique link via text.

Invited patients will be able to choose a time slot and day that they are available and, once chosen, they are booked directly into the organisation's appointment book without the need for the patient to call the surgery πŸ™Œ For an overview on this, see our article here.

How does this new feature work?

Firstly, you'll need to select the Self-Book icon in the bottom left of your compose message page πŸ“†

Then you need to choose whether you'd like to invite your patient to a Face-to-face or Telephone appointment.

To give you more control, we've introduced a new configuration setting for your booking links. Previously, the choice to show patients a specific appointment time or a general time window was tied to the appointment type. For example, patients were not given specific times for telephone appointments. They were given time windows either between 8:30 am and 1:00 pm πŸ•œ or between 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm πŸ••.

We've now separated these, so you can decide on the time precision independently, allowing for a more customised setup for your various clinics.

This is what it looks like when you select 'Exact time' πŸ‘‡

And this is what it looks like when you select 'Time window' πŸ‘‡

We're confident this update will make a real difference, and we'd love to hear your feedback.

If you still have any questions or concerns, feel free to chat with us using the green message bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of this page. πŸ‘‰
