  • If a patient navigates to a suspended form (e.g. suspended, out of hours, daily capacity reached), they will see an option to return to the main Patient Triage landing page to select another relevant option.

What is the new 'Direct Link' feature in Patient Triage?

Previously, there was one unique link for each practice's Patient Triage form. This could be found in the Patient Triage settings under 'Set up' and would take patients to the first page of the Patient Triage submission flow.

We have now released a feature where each section of the Patient Triage form will have its own direct link. This means you can share links with patients to direct them to specific parts of the form. You will also be able to link to specific parts of the form from your website by using the direct link.

The sections of the form which you can direct link to are:

  • Medical Request

  • Admin query - Doctor's letter

  • Admin query - Fit (sick) note

  • Admin query - Referral follow-up

  • Admin query - Repeat prescription

  • Admin query - Test results

  • Admin query - Something Else

Why have we released this feature?

For Patients πŸ‘‰ Patients will now have an easier journey if practices add a specific link to each request type on their website. For example, a patient requiring a doctor's letter would no longer need to click through all the options on the main Patient Triage landing page, they can go directly to request a Doctor's letter.

For Practices πŸ‘‰ Practices will be able to directly link the different sections of their form on specific areas of their website. They can also pick and choose what they want to surface to patients. Practice staff can also easily share direct links with patients who may be unsure of how to navigate the Patient Triage form.

How will the feature work?

The steps to access the direct links in order to add them to your practice website will be the same as for the main Patient Triage link. You can find out more about how to do this via this article here.

The links are displayed on the settings page as shown below πŸ‘‡

What's staying the same?

  • The emergency warning signs are still shown to patients navigating to a live medical or admin request form. πŸ‘‡

  • The questions for each section of the form will stay exactly the same.

What do you need to do?

You can still continue to use the main Patient Triage form link as before. πŸ‘

You can also customise the yellow box information for the whole form in the "live", "suspended", "out of hours" and "at capacity" states, but if you choose to use a direct link, make sure that the customisable information in the yellow information banner is applicable to all the medical and admin forms individually as it will display at the top of every form.

πŸ’‘ Tip: When using direct links, patients will be navigating to specific forms, try not to reference other forms or phrases such as "see the options below" as the patient might be seeing the yellow warning banner at the top of a specific page.

If you still have any questions or concerns, feel free to chat with us using the green message bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of this page. πŸ‘‰
