Every Scribe Lite user gets 5 free "encounters" a day (an encounter is one Scribe transcription). For your first 5 encounters each day, everything works exactly as it does now. From your 6th encounter, transcription and note generation keep working unlimited — but a handful of extra features pause until your allowance resets at midnight.

🔵 Good to know: there's no limit on how many users at your clinic can use Scribe Lite, as each person gets their own 5 encounters a day.

Clinic admin stats and usage exports aren't included on Scribe Lite.
Why has this changed?
We want Accurx Scribe to have a genuinely useful free version for primary care, rather than a trial that simply runs out. Scribe Lite replaces the old Free Trial cut-off with an ongoing daily allowance, so you can keep using Scribe for free every day; you just get full "pro" functionality for the first 5 consultations, with transcription and note-taking always available beyond that.
What do I need to do?
Nothing if you're currently on a Free Trial; you'll be moved onto Scribe Lite automatically once your trial period ends. You'll keep using Accurx Scribe exactly as before, up to your 5 free encounters each day.
If your practice regularly needs more than 5 full-featured Scribes a day per user, you may want to look at upgrading to a paid Accurx Scribe plan. Pricing for after the trial phase will scale based on patient list size. What counts as one "encounter"?
An encounter is one Scribe transcription — for example, one patient consultation or one dictation you record and generate a note from.
What happens once I've used my 5 encounters for the day?
Transcription and note generation carry on working with no limit. Features like Save to record, document generation, Adjust, Template Builder, memories, and custom vocabulary pause until your allowance resets.
When does my daily allowance reset?
At midnight, every day. You'll get a fresh 5 encounters the next day.
Will I lose the templates, memories, or vocabulary I've already created?
No. Anything you've already set up keeps working as normal; you just won't be able to create or edit new ones until your allowance resets.
Is there a limit on how many people at my clinic can use Scribe Lite?
No, there's no cap on the number of users per clinic. Each user gets 5 free encounters per day.
Will I lose access to Accurx Scribe completely once my Free Trial ends?
No. You'll move onto Scribe Lite, which keeps unlimited transcription and note generation, plus 5 full-featured encounters every day, for as long as you use Accurx Scribe.
