Assigning professional messages

Professional messages (previously called Accumail) now arrive in your main Accurx inbox, in the Care Connections folder. You can assign them to a colleague or a team in exactly the same way as any patient message, so there's nothing new to learn if you already assign messages in your inbox.

🟡 Please note: This covers assigning messages in the new Care connections folder. The old Accumail inbox (reached via the settings cog ⚙️) is now read-only, so you can’t assign messages from there.

How to assign a message

  1. Open your Care connections folder in the Accurx Desktop inbox.

  2. Open the conversation you want to hand over.

  3. Select the assign option at the top of the conversation, then choose the colleague or team you want to assign it to.

  4. Add a note if you’d like to give them context, then confirm. The person or team you assign it to will be notified in their inbox.

🟢 Pro-tip: Start typing the first couple of letters of a colleague’s name to find them quickly in the list.

The steps are the same as for any inbox message; for the full walkthrough, see How can I assign a message to a colleague?

Where assigned messages appear

Once you assign a message, it behaves like any other conversation in your inbox; the assignee can find it in their inbox and is notified there, rather than on the old toolbar counter.
