This article runs through what the Accurx Scribe test mode is and how you can use this feature.
What is Accurx Scribe?
🎤 Accurx Scribe, powered by Tandem, uses AI to transcribe audio from a patient consultation, dictation or meeting, to summarise it into a structured form for medical notes. You can also generate other documents from the encounter, such as patient letters, referral letters and GP letters.
For Accurx Desktop users (EMIS/SystmOne/Vision), you can also save your notes to the patient record and share documents with patients and other services.

What is Accurx Scribe Test Mode?
Test mode within Accurx Scribe allows you to try out Accurx Scribe to discover how the feature can benefit your workflows 🔎 including:
Cutting your admin time.
Removing the need for note-taking so you can focus more on your patients.
You will see the test mode experience until the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement is accepted by your trust or your organisation admin.
Note: Within Accurx Scribe test mode, you should conduct your test consultations using test patients.

Accurx Web Users
Within Accurx Web, you will see test mode for Accurx Scribe until the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement is accepted by your trust/organisation.
In Accurx Web, you will see a test mode pop-up when accessing Accurx Scribe 👇
Proceeding via the 'Continue to Scribe' option will then allow you to complete a Scribe consultation in test mode. You will also see a tutorial if accessing the feature for the very first time.
Once the Scribe consultation is completed, you will have the option to copy the consultation notes.
Accurx Desktop Users (EMIS/SystmOne/Vision)
Within Accurx Desktop, you will see test mode for Accurx Scribe until the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement is accepted by an organisation admin.
Non-admin users
Non-admin users
If you're a non-admin Accurx Desktop user, you will see a test mode pop-up when accessing Accurx Scribe 👇
Proceeding via the 'Continue to Scribe' option will then allow you to complete a Scribe consultation in test mode. You will also see a tutorial if accessing the feature for the very first time.
Once the Scribe consultation is completed, you will have the option to save the consultation to the medical records using 'Save to record'.
On the save to record confirmation screen, you will see a test mode pop-up again 👇 Selecting the 'Save to record' button here will save the consultation to the medical records.
On the save to record confirmation screen, you will also have an option to 'Request full access to Scribe'. Selecting this option will send an email to the organisation admins to request the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement review and acceptance.
Admin users

If you're an admin Accurx Desktop user, you will see the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement acceptance screen when accessing Accurx Scribe.
From here, you can either accept the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement by selecting 'Turn on Scribe', or proceed to test mode by selecting 'Try Scribe now' 👇
When in test mode, you will see a test mode pop-up 👇
Proceeding via the 'Continue to Scribe' option will then allow you to complete a Scribe consultation in test mode. You will also see a tutorial if accessing the feature for the very first time.
Once the Scribe consultation is completed, you will have the option to save the consultation to the medical records using 'Save to record'.
On the save to record confirmation screen, you will see a test mode pop-up again 👇 Selecting the 'Save to record' button here will save the consultation to the medical records.
On the save to record confirmation screen, you will also have an option to 'Turn on Scribe for your organisation'. Selecting this option will take you to the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement page for review and acceptance.
Accurx Mobile Users
Within Accurx Mobile, you will see test mode for Accurx Scribe until the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement is accepted by your trust or by an organisation admin.
Non-admin GP users

If you're a non-admin GP Accurx Mobile user, you will see a test mode pop-up when accessing Accurx Scribe on Accurx Mobile 👇

If you're an admin GP Accurx Mobile user, you will see the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement acceptance screen when accessing Accurx Scribe.
From here, you can either accept the Accurx Scribe Data Processing Agreement by selecting 'Turn on Scribe', or proceed to test mode by selecting 'Try test mode' 👇
