We're Accurx: a software company that GP practices and other healthcare providers use to communicate with their patients. We're being used to invite patients to book appointments at their practice. We're NHS-accredited and an approved supplier.

When your practice would like you to book an appointment, your unique link will start with https:// accurx.nhs.uk/.... and should look something like this:

https:// accurx.nhs.uk/eXaMpLe

This link will allow you to book your appointment as requested by your GP practice:

  1. Enter your Date of Birth

2. Select an appointment date and then a time slot πŸ“† , when you're done click 'continue'

3. You'll be able to review your appointment on the next screen and change the time if you've changed your mind. If you're happy with your selected time click 'continue' 😊

4. The next screen will be a loading page as we check this appointment time is available at your practice, it shouldn't take too long 🀞 during this time try not to refresh your page πŸ•

5. Once we've confirmed the booking with your practice, you'll receive a booking confirmation screen like this πŸ‘‡ as well as a confirmation text message πŸ‘

You can also add the appointment to your calendar by selecting the Add to Calendar option shown below πŸ‘‡

You can add this to the following calendar types: Apple, Google, Yahoo, iCal and Outlook.com πŸ‘‡ πŸ“†

I'm struggling to access my link

If you can't use your phone for any reason, you can also still use the link to access the document on a computer, iPad or tablet. To do this, type your unique link from the text into the URL search bar of your internet browser.

Your unique link will start with https:// accurx.nhs.uk/.... and should look something like this:

https:// accurx.nhs.uk/eXaMpLe

As shown in the images below, when typing your unique link, please ensure you're not entering this in the search engine (as shown in red crosses). Please ensure you type your link in where the green arrows indicate. πŸ‘‡

Some internet browsers may look slightly different to the two shown above but you are usually looking to type your unique link in the search bar along the top of the screen.

Once you've typed in the correct link and pressed "Enter" on your keyboard, you should see a screen similar to the one below. πŸ‘‡

If you see the screen above, you have reached the right place πŸ˜„ . After typing in your date of birth, click "Continue" and you then get access to the document that your GP sent you. 😊

I'm worried about the safety of this link

It's completely understandable to be wary of clicking on a link you've been sent. This article discusses how you can check we're legitimate and shows you our listing on the NHS website.

If you still have any questions or concerns, feel free to chat with us using the green message bubble in the bottom right-hand corner of this page. πŸ‘‰
