Updated this week

This feature was created in response to the EMIS outage experienced on 19/07/2024 to assist GP practices in accessing a copy of their upcoming appointments while the EMR is unavailable.

⚠️ Please note: This feature is in a trial so some functions may not work as smoothly as intended. Practices will need to have access to the Appointment Reminders feature for the feature to pick up the clinics.

⚠️ Any messages sent via Accurx Web are not saved to the medical record.

For primary care users to access Accurx Web, you will need to log in via web.accurx.com rather than using the initials in your Accurx Desktop toolbar.

Clinic Lists

The Clinic Lists page shows a summarised view of your organisation's past and upcoming appointments.

This information is taken from your electronic medical record (EMR) at the time of our last successful connection between your toolbar and EMR. Clinics are displayed in a listed format to view the entire patient list and contact patients.

You can see when this appointment data was last updated by viewing the "updated" header in the top right corner.

Due to the ongoing EMIS Outage, this data may be out of date.

Filtering the results

You can sort through your clinics & appointments by using the drop-down menus to filter by specific categories.

  • Clinic Code: to filter appointments by Slot Type.

  • Responsible Clinician: to filter appointments by the clinician associated to the clinic.

  • Location: to filter appointments by site location.

  • Date: to filter appointments by different days.

⚠️ Please note: If a slot type has more than one location site, it will display as "Multiple" in the summary section 👇 It will then show the individual appointment locations when you click on "View patients".

Viewing patients in a clinic

You can view a list of patients booked into a specific clinic in your appointment book by clicking the "View patients" button on the right-hand side.

This page displays a list of patients booked into the clinic including:

  • Time of the appointment

  • Name and title of the patient

  • Patient's NHS Number

  • Patient's date of birth

  • Gender

  • Location of the appointment if applicable

  • Option to contact

Contacting an individual patient

  1. To contact an individual patient, please select "Contact" on the right-hand side 👉

  2. This will open the message compose screen to write a message to the patient.

  3. Select a message template, attach a file or allow the patient to respond to the message.

  4. Click "Send" in the bottom right-hand corner.

The contact number of the patient will auto-populate into the message. This phone number is taken from the Patient Demographic Service (PDS).

⚠️ Please note: any messages sent via Accurx Web are not saved to the medical record. This will have to be completed manually.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the data displayed on the Clinic List page?

The appointment information displayed on the page is from the last time Accurx had a successful toolbar connection to your medical system. If we do not have a successful connection to your medical system and you update your appointments or clinics, the information displayed here will become out of date.

Where do the patient's mobile numbers come from?

The patient mobile numbers are taken from the Patient Demographic Survey (PDS). These may not be as up to date as the contact details stored on your electronic medical system.

Do you display patient consent?

No, the Patient Demographic Survey (PDS) does not store this information, so we're unable to display the status of the patient's consent.

NHS guidance recommends healthcare providers:

  • “rely on implied consent for confidentiality purposes when contacting individual patients and service users about their individual care”, and

  • “respect patients’ objections/preferences to receiving communications in this way”.

Why can't I see my appointments displayed on the Clinic Lists?

If your organisation does not have the Appointment Reminders module procured, then we're unable to search and display your appointment information.
