If you look at our 'Invite patients and manage bookings' page, this gives you a much better overview of the patients that have been invited across your grouping of practices, as well as a couple of new features. Here are some top tips for what you can do from here:

1. Search & filter options

Inviting practice

Along with the ability to search for a patient's name, NHS number or mobile number, we've added a number of filter options. You can choose whether to filter by just the patients your practice has invited or to see all the patients invited across the network.

'My practice' will be selected here by default. If you choose to unselect this, the 'Apply filter' button will become active & turn blue - once you click it, the list will update to all patients invited across your network.

Patient Status

You can also filter by the 'patient status', these are grouped by 'To Book' and 'Other' to help you identify which patients need actioning. We've also added handy definitions for each status so that it's clear what each one means. You can select the checkbox next to as many statuses as you are interested in and select 'Apply filter' to update the patient list.

You can choose more than one status within the same group, for example to see who has declined or cancelled, open up 'Other' and check both of those options, then click 'Apply Filter' to see your updated results in the patient list.

Vaccine Type

You can also filter by 'vaccine type', when you first open this the default will have nothing selected. As soon as you make a change and select one or more vaccine types, you will be able to click 'Apply filter' and see the updated list.

Note - the 'vaccine type' filter will not work when searching for first dose patients as these patients have not been assigned a vaccine type yet! ๐Ÿ‘

2. See more patient details

You can now expand the Details under any patient, to see the history of who's invited them, and the different patient actions. There are 3 options to view in the details section:

Vaccination Details

  • This shows the NIMS for the patient and is where you can refresh the patients NIMS manually.

  • It shows the vaccine that the patient had if they have had their first vaccination

Booking Details

  • Time and date of their bookings

  • Address of their bookings

  • Details of reminders that have been sent to patients

  • Who declined an invitation and the reason the patient has declined the invitation

  • Who uploaded the invitation and from what practice (shown as an ODS code)

  • NBS booking data

Audit

You can now audit a range of different user and patient actions from the details as well, so you can quickly work out who has done what and when๐Ÿ‘‡

  • 'Patient booked themselves in on XX'

  • 'Patient cancelled their booking on XX'

  • 'Patient booked by User Name from Org ID on XX'

  • 'Patient booked by User Name from Org ID on XX and XX'

  • 'Patient invite declined by User Name from Org ID on XX'

  • 'Patient booking cancelled by User Name from Org ID on XX'

  • 'Patient sent booking reminder by User Name from Org ID on XX'

Notes

  • This shows the notes you have added for a patient

  • Characters must be between 5-200 for it to be possible to save the notes for the patient

As you can see below, we've also added reasons for the patient to choose from when declining their vaccinations and also the latest data on the patients vaccination status:

3. Invite an individual patient

You can now also search for an individual patient on PDS by choosing the 'Invite an individual' option at the top of the page. We go into more detail about how to do this in this article.
