πŸ“„ How to generate a patient letter

Once you're happy with your clinical note:

1️⃣ Click 'Create document' and select the letter template you'd like to use.

πŸ’‘ Any template with 'PDF' in the title will generate a PDF letter that can be saved to your EPR.

2️⃣ Review the letter for accuracy and make any adjustments needed.

3️⃣ When you're happy, click 'Save and send', and the PDF letter is automatically saved to your EPR system.

πŸ’‘ The letter is also automatically sent to the patient's GP via MESH in the background - no action is needed from you for this.

There are three things that happen at this stage:

  1. The letter is saved to your EPR

  2. The letter is automatically sent to the patient's GP via MESH

  3. You send the letter to a colleague and/or the patient

πŸ“„ Sending to a colleague

You can send the letter to a colleague or your admin team with an instruction or note.

1️⃣ Type your message in the text field (e.g. "Book an appointment in 6 months")

2️⃣ Select the colleague you want to send it to

3️⃣ Click 'Send'

Your colleague will receive the message in their Accurx inbox. Unread messages are shown with a red bubble. From there, they can:

  • View the content of the letter

  • Download the PDF

  • Print or email it if needed

  • Add a reply or note back to you

  • Mark the message as done once actioned

πŸ’‘ To confirm the message has been sent, go to your Accurx inbox and search for the colleague's name under the 'Colleagues' folder. Unread messages are shown with a red bubble.
