Why are these User Interface (UI) changes happening?
The previous navigation was released at the beginning of 2025. Since then, we've listened to your feedback and analysed product metrics on how you use the platform to find ways to make your daily tasks smoother.
To achieve this, our team is working on a more cohesive UI design system for Accurx. This includes defining a new visual language and a set of UI principles that prioritise clarity and ease of use. These updates ensure that the tools you use every day are not only modern but also more intuitive and consistent across the entire product.
These changes also align with the long-term direction of our design system, moving us toward a more unified Accurx experience.
What these changes mean for you:
A cleaner, focused workspace: We’ve improved the balance of the Accurx UI by reducing competing colours, making it easier to focus on what matters - your patients. 🎨
Clearer navigation: We’ve refined our icons and buttons so it’s immediately obvious where each click will take you, reducing guesswork. 🖱️
A faster, more reliable experience: Under-the-hood improvements allow the interface to load more quickly and enable us to ship new features and fixes to you faster than before. 💪
Sidebar Navigation
The change: The colour of the sidebar component has been changed from dark green to white.
This improves the overall balance of the screen by reducing the amount of competing surfaces and overpowering colours. By moving to a white sidebar, the navigation now connects seamlessly with the rest of the product, creating a cleaner, more unified workspace that helps you focus on the task at hand.
Note: This is a visual-only update. All your sidebar options and navigation links remain in the same place as before.

Accurx Web Top Navigation
We’ve also made some minor refinements to the Accurx Web top navigation bar to improve clarity. Here is a breakdown of what’s changed, moving from left to right 👇

Messaging Options
Messaging Options
The change: The colour of the primary action has changed from light green to white, along with some structural updates:
The 'New' button now includes a message icon and takes you directly to a new patient message.
Other messaging options are now accessed via the dropdown menu. The 'Message patient' option has been removed from the dropdown to avoid duplication in the button, following the design system guidance.
Patient Search and Directory
Patient Search and Directory
The change: The only visual change is that, in the top navigation, the two items will be combined into a split button, so there’s a stronger relationship between the two search experiences.
There are no functionality changes in this space.
Note: Only applicable workspaces (ie Accurx Desktop organisations) will see the directory functionality.
Inbox, Scribe, and Lists
Inbox, Scribe, and Lists
The change: These items in the top navigation have received a visual update. They now appear as tabs, with a highlight bar at the bottom to clearly indicate which area you are currently viewing.
This update is purely visual to help you stay oriented. You can continue to use these navigation links exactly as you did before - no workflows have changed.
Workspace Switcher, Settings, and Help
Workspace Switcher, Settings, and Help
The change: We have separated the Workspace Switcher and Settings into two distinct buttons.
The Workspace Switcher is now more prominent on the left, making it easier to see which workspace you are currently working in and where to switch to another workspace.
The Settings option is now its own button, preventing confusion between the Workspace Switcher and Settings.
There are no changes to the Help button or how you access support.
Product Framing
The change: The product now features a green frame bordering the screen.
This improves the overall visual hierarchy of the page by:
Creating a clear anchor: By extending the top navigation colour around the product, it gives the header clear ownership of the content below.
Better grouping: The frame visually groups the sidebar with the main content area, reinforcing how they work together and making the layout more intuitive to navigate.
