Our patient-initiated functionality is designed to improve patient experience and reduce your administrative burden. It enables patients to reach out to your team at a time that works for them.

You can use patient initiated for:

  • Self-referral pathways

  • Patient initiated follow-up (PIFU)

  • Administrative queries (e.g. change appointment)

  • Signposting patients to self-management advice

The key benefit of using Accurx for Patient-Initiated Contact is that it enables a ‘triage-first’ model. This allows you and your team to review patient requests at a convenient time, either booking an appointment or resolving the request via messaging—without the need for an appointment.

This solution is simple and user-friendly for patients, and all responses are received directly into your inbox. With all requests in one place, your team can efficiently manage and respond to them with ease.
