EMIS: How do I check Role-based Access Control (RBAC) settings

How to check RBAC settings in EMIS

If you have trouble connecting to your toolbar correctly and have red initials, you may need to take extra steps after checking your EMAS Manager settings.

If this hasn't worked for you, you may need to check your RBAC settings.

To do this, could you please follow these steps to check you are set up correctly... πŸ‘‡

  1. Click the EMIS ball β†’ Configuration β†’ Organisation Configuration (🌟 if you cannot see this option, you will need to ask your manager to do it for you)

  2. Click 'Search' πŸ” in the menu bar β†’ Find the user β†’ Double-click on their name.

  3. Click 'User Role Profiles' on the left of the pop-up window β†’ Click the search πŸ” button to the right of the 'Additional RBAC Activities' box.

  4. If you cannot click the search button or it is greyed out, please select 'Create a new EMIS Web Profile', and add your RBAC role as shown in the previous role.

  5. Search and add the following 4 activities... 'Complete Work Item', 'Create Work Item', 'Amend Work Item' and 'Perform Detailed Health Record'.

  6. Tick this RBAC role as "Default".

  7. Click OK.

  8. Restart EMIS if you are not prompted to do so automatically.

This should resolve the issue and your initials should appear in white now. πŸŽ‰
