Scribe now suggests relevant ICD-10 codes when it generates your consultation note. The codes appear alongside the note, ready for you to review and accept. This saves time you'd otherwise spend looking up codes after clinic, while keeping the final decision in your hands.
π·οΈ How does suggested coding work?
After Scribe generates a note from your consultation or dictation, it will also suggest ICD-10 codes that are relevant to the clinical content of the note.
These suggestions are based on what was discussed during the encounter. They appear alongside your generated note so you can review them in context.
π How to use suggested codes
Run a Scribe session as usual β either a live consultation, dictation, or audio upload.
Review your generated note. Once Scribe has created the note, you'll see suggested ICD-10 codes displayed below it π
Review the suggestions. Check the suggested codes against the note content and the clinical encounter.
Accept or dismiss. Accept the codes that are correct, and dismiss any that aren't relevant.
Click on the code to copy it to your clipboard.
β οΈ Important notes
Suggested codes are suggestions only. The clinician is always responsible for confirming that the codes are accurate and appropriate before they are applied to the patient record.
ICD-10 codes are suggested. If your workflow uses a different coding system (e.g. SNOMED CT in primary care), this feature may not be directly applicable. Suggested SNOMED coding is coming soon!
Codes are generated from the note content. The better the quality of your recording and the more relevant detail discussed, the more accurate the code suggestions are likely to be.
π‘ Tips
Review codes at the same time as your note. This helps you catch anything the AI may have missed or added incorrectly, and avoids a separate coding step after clinic.
Use clear, specific language during your consultation or dictation. This helps Scribe identify the right codes.
π οΈ Where is suggested coding available?
Suggested coding is available in Accurx Scribe across Desktop, Web and Mobile.
