🧠 What are memories within Template Builder?

Memories help you guide Accurx Scribe on how to write your documentation in the style and way that you want. They let you fine-tune output without changing the underlying template, making them especially useful for stylistic preferences and smaller adjustments of how you want Accurx Scribe to document.

These can either be added automatically when you create your Scribe template, or you can create them manually.

How do memories work?

Memories are a form of instruction that Accurx Scribe listens to when generating notes. For example:

  • "Include relevant patient history related to current complaint"

  • "Summarise next steps for treatment or follow-up"

➑️ Users can see all memories connected to a Scribe template by opening the 'Memories' sidebar when viewing the template.

➑️ They are always connected to a specific template or an entry within a Scribe template.

➑️ Added memories apply to everyone in the workspace using that Scribe template, meaning all notes created with the template that has memories will use the same memories.

Memories when creating a Scribe template

In some cases, when you try to share a Scribe template, Accurx Scribe may not be able to fully determine what kind of information is expected under certain headings or entries. This typically happens when:

  • The entry name is too general (e.g. "Notes" or "Details")

  • The context of the section or the entry name is unclear

What to do:

When this occurs, you'll get a prompt asking you to select or provide a short explanation. Simply select one of the suggested explanations or write one yourself, and describe what kind of information should be documented by Tandem under that entry. For example:

  • "Include relevant patient history related to current complaint"

  • "Summarise next steps for treatment or follow-up"

Your answer in this step will be saved as a memory, which will be automatically applied whenever the template is used.

Adding memories manually

You can also manually add memories to help guide Accurx Scribe on how something should be documented for a Scribe template or a template entry.

πŸ‘‰ Adding template memories

The easiest way of adding memories to a Scribe template is by opening the memories sidebar and clicking "+ Add memory". You will then get prompted to write a memory, which you can then save. This memory will apply to the full template.

πŸ‘‰ Adding entry memories

You can easily add memories connected to specific entries by opening the Scribe template and then hovering over the entry you want to add a memory to. Click the + button, and then you will be prompted to write a memory. Then press save. This memory will apply only to this entry.
